Zion 5

Here are a few extra pictures from Zion.

Looking down canyon with the Virgin River.
Looking up canyon.
This rock formation is said to look like a pipe organ.
Natural arch in the stone.

Shawn at Big Bend.

Weeping Rock. An easy 0.5 mile trail takes you to Weeping Rock. The water seeps out of the rock here and hanging gardens appear.
The water seeping out of the rocks is 800-1200 years old. That's how long it takes to percolate through the different rock layers. I had to ask Shawn for the details because all I remembered was the water is "old". Then I got lost in an internal debate about whether old water is gross or not, if there could be dino pee/poo in it, etc.
