Maine with Meg

We were very excited and long overdue for a trip to Maine to visit Meg. In our typical style, everything came together at the last minute and Shawn, Chris and I made our way up to Portland.

PUPPY! One of the reasons we were exited for the trip was Sydney! Sydney is Meg's puppy. She is a black lab and cocker spaniel mix that was rescued in Puerto Rico. Sydney and I bonded on Saturday while Meg worked and the boys skied. It quickly became evident that Sydney and I have the same skill level when attempting to run in a straight line...absolutely none. It's miracle enough when I manage to run for more than a minute without tripping over my own feet. But to have a puppy weaving in and out of my legs was quite the challenge. I'm happy to report that there were no injuries. Here are some post-run pics of the pup. We were both a little tuckered out.

Meg took us to the beach in South Portland on Sunday. It was about 400 degrees below zero (with wind chill factored in). But was well worth it because Sydney played her first game of catch with Meg!

Yeah. I totally know. The six layers really help. I almost didn't fit down the slide!
