Viva Analog!

Most of you cable tv-havers probably think that analog broadcasts ceased to exist on June 12th. I'm here to tell you, that's absolutely not true.

We still receive three channels over our bunny ears. Two of the networks feature talking heads discussing the digital transition in English and Spanish. They are complimented by on screen bullet points. Boring.

Not PBS. They wisely chose to have the This Old House gang educate their audience about the switch.
Norm Abrams will walk into a house, compliment some neat architectural feature and then ask about the homeowners tvs. The homeowner takes Norm through the house and they discuss what the homeowner will need to do or not need to do for the digital switch. Then Kevin O'Connor (he's no Norm, but it spices it up) will go through the next house. Each house is different and it sucks you in. Honestly, I've watched it for hours at a time and the whole program is only 30 minutes. If I can't sleep, I'll turn it on. It's always entertaining and you never need to worry about missing any crucial plot. If you fall asleep, you can turn it on the next night and get your fill again!

If you are jealous, and I know you are, you can watch the whole thing here.
